Privacy Policy
Bellshift does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your training data stays on your device.
What the app stores on your device
To run your programs and show your progress, Bellshift keeps this information in its private storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- the first name you enter and your experience level
- your units (lb or kg) and the kettlebells you own
- your workouts, sets, weights, records and program progress, including a workout you left unfinished, and any workout notes and “how hard was it” ratings you add
- your favourite movements and app settings
- a profile photo, if you choose to add one
This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. It is included in your device backups (iCloud or your computer) according to your own backup settings.
Training reminders
If you turn on reminders in Profile, the app schedules notifications on your device for the days and time you choose. They are created and shown by your iPhone or iPad; nothing is sent to us or to a notification service. The app asks for permission the first time you save reminders, and you can turn them off in the app or in Settings at any time. Reminders are only about your training, never advertising.
Sharing a workout
You can turn a finished workout into an image to share, with your own photo, the workout's cover photo or a plain background behind it. To add your photo, you can take one with the camera or choose one with the system photo picker; the app asks for camera access only when you tap Take, and the picker gives the app only the one photo you choose. The image is made on your device. It leaves the device only when you share it yourself, for example to Messages or Instagram, and then the app or person you share it with handles it under their own terms. If you tap Save to Photos, the app asks for permission to add the image to your library; it cannot read your library. The app does not keep your photo after you close the share screen, and your workout notes are never put on the image.
Purchases and subscriptions
Memberships and programs are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, card or Apple Account details. The app asks the App Store on your device which purchases you own so it can unlock them. Apple's handling of this data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Videos and links
The coach videos stream from Cloudflare Stream, our video provider. To deliver a video, Cloudflare receives the technical information any website gets when your device loads a file, such as your IP address and device type; it does not receive your name, your training data or anything else stored in the app, and we don't use this information to identify or track you. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy describes how it handles this data. Videos you download for offline use are saved in the app's storage on your device and are not included in your backups; you can remove them in the app at any time. If a video cannot play, the app may offer a “Watch on YouTube” link. Opening it takes you to YouTube, where Google's Privacy Policy applies.
What we don't do
- We don't collect, sell or share personal data.
- We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't read your health data, location, contacts or microphone. The camera is used only when you take a photo for a share image, and that photo stays on your device unless you share it. When you choose a photo, the system photo picker gives the app only that one photo; the app never sees the rest of your library.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives only on your device, you control it. In the app, open Profile and choose Reset all data to erase your history, progress and settings. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Purchases stay linked to your Apple Account and can be restored from Profile.
Children
Bellshift is a strength training app for adults and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
